The NSI Silhouette™ and Stiletto™ antennas incorporate important characteristics that are critical for superior performance in mobile microwave operations - high gain and directivity, low sidelobes and low axial ratio circular polarization - to ensure high quality signals and the maximum area of coverage.
Field proven in hundreds of installations worldwide, the Silhouette™ and Stiletto™ are available for operation in a variety of frequencies as well in single and dual band versions.
The dual band versions incorporate two separate RF switch assemblies. This characteristic provides maximum reliability and allows the antenna to operate in two bands simultaneously.
The Silhouette™ and Stiletto™ are designed to withstand the rigors of remote vehicle operations. They each feature a rugged reflector that combines superior strength and light weight. In addition, the Silhouette™ and Stiletto™ incorporate a rugged single-piece feed support that ensures precise alignment of the feed.
The Stiletto™ is a high gain version of the Silhouette™ antenna. It offers a 3 dB increase in gain over the Silhouette™ or its competitors. The increase in antenna gain, which effectively doubles the transmit output, has enabled Stiletto™ users to transmit from locations that were previously considered inaccessible. In addition, the superior gain of the Stiletto™ raises the desired signal above interfering signals, improving the receive system's ability to overcome adjacent channel interference.
