Field Proven Performance, Reliability and User Friendly OperationThe NSI Quad™ central receive antenna system is field proven for analog and digital applications. It The Quad™ ConceptThe Quad™ central receive antenna system features four individually selected antennas, each covering a 90-degree sector. It is the ideal solution for some installations – such as the corners of a building rooftop.Variable Gain LNA/BDC with AGCThe dynamic range of the LNA and block downconverter (BDC) has proven to be a critical determinant in maximizing the area of coverage for digital shots. Modern LNA/BDC designs have little difficulty handling low signal levels, as found in a distant shot. However, a high signal level from a transmitter close to the central receive site can saturate the LNA and/or overload the receiver, which will cause a digital shot to fail. Quad™ central receive antennas feature a unique LNA/BDC assembly with a continuously variable level control to ensure the robustness of live shots from practically underneath the antenna out to the radio horizon and everywhere in between. The Automatic Gain Control function of the NSI MC5 remote control automatically optimizes the LNA/BDC level to maximize the RSL without overloading the receiver
The LNA/BDC assembly is typically located in the central junction box. Alternatively, an LNA/BDC assembly can be installed in each Quad™ antenna for configurations with long cable runs between the antennas and the central junction box.
The superior performance and reliability of the Quad™ is complemented by the NSI MC5 remote control. Its user friendly control panels feature straight forward control buttons and meters, providing intuitively easy operation and a short learning curve. The MC5 also includes several advanced functions to simplify and enhance daily operations.
